Call ducks are a bantam breed and the smallest of the duck breeds. They were originally kept as decoys to lure in other ducks for hunters. They are now widely bred throughout the US in a variety of colors and are among the top breeds in show rings. Call ducks should have a plump, round head with short stubby bill. Gray Call ducks were recognized by the standard of perfection in the US in 1874. Our birds are James Konecny lines crossed with Lou Horton lines for exquisite looking birds.
